
Kiel Pratt supervises the Advanced Freight Technologies and Planning Unit in the California Energy Commission’s Fuels and Transportation Division. The team manages projects and conducts research under the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program (ARFVTP).
The team leads or assists with other collaborative stakeholder activities, including assessing California’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure under Assembly Bill 2127 and updating the California Vehicle-Grid Integration Roadmap. Previously, Kiel managed projects for nine years as part of the Energy Commission’s Research and Development Division. Kiel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and a minor in music from Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo.
